There are still many many things that are wrong. Which is why it’s been so nice lately to see a few things that are right. Here’s this month’s list:
- Moving Planet, a day to move about without the use of fossil fuels. Here’s hoping it grows every year!
- Elizabeth Warren’s screed against the Republican Right’s claims that increasing taxes on the rich (and cutting some of the Bush-era tax breaks) is “class warfare.” Thank you, Elizabeth Warren. We need more brave souls like you in politics.
- Fall Recipes. Like ginger carrot soup. NOM!
- The Fremont Troll’s 40th birthday cake. This photo is 2 years old, but new to me, so check it out here.
- Last year’s proposed change to the Washington State Seal. Oh wow, this is awesome. When I found it, I thought it was a hijacked Wikipedia page, but no. True story. Check out the section titled, “Proposed Change.”

Here are two additions:
1. Stop the Keystone XL Pipeline Demonstrations
2. Occupy Wall St. Demonstrations
3. That ridiculous hot tropical wind has stopped and the Pacific Northwest is feeling once again like the Pacific Northwest.
Oh, and the proposed change to the WA seal made me chuckle, but anti-tax sentiment is one of the primary problems with this country, so it was a very brief chuckle followed by a growl.
Oops. Math problems. Make that three additions and one disgruntled liberal American complaint.
#3 is my favorite… love this weather & am not growling yet (give me some wet shoes next week & see how I’m doing!). Hey, do you get New Day Northwest on KING-5 where you are? If so, check it out at 11am… one of my work buddies (@WeSingYourTweets) will be featured. Huzzah!
